Statistical modelling

We shall first carry out an analysis of variance for Experiment 1 and then fit a regression curve to the mean values in order to predict the sucrose concentration that produced the highest germination rate. Based on the different sources of variation found in this experiment we finally use the results to determine an optimum sample size for numbers of buds and fields of view suitable for future experiments.
